Tolu Coker, a young British-Nigerian Fashion and Textiles Designer, Illustrator, and Multi-Disciplinary Artist based in London, launched her brand in 2018 after graduating from Central Saint Martins. Inspired by the politics of identity and social climates, her work merges artisan craftsmanship with innovative technology, focusing on deconstruction and sustainability. Internationally recognized by publications such as Vogue and Dazed, her collections explore the complexities of Diasporic Black Identity, blending contemporary art and fashion.

Beyond clothing, Coker’s illustrations, documentaries, and fashion films have been commissioned by brands like Teen Vogue, Vogue Italia, and Dr Martens. She was shortlisted for the ASOS Fashion Discovery 2018 and won three awards at the globally acclaimed ITS 2018. Debuting ‘Juvenile Consciousness’ at London Fashion Week, she collaborated on limited edition Swatch watches and Illy Caffe Art Collection. Notably, she was listed on the 2019 Evening Standard Progress 1000.

Passionate about using fashion for social change, Coker collaborates with charities like ‘Choose Love.’ In 2019, she designed a collection in the Democratic Republic of Congo to honor women survivors of war violence. In 2020, she partnered with ‘Choose Love’ for London Fashion Week, creating special t-shirts to support grassroots projects for refugees and minority communities.

Coker’s projects addressing societal issues have set a new trajectory, using her platform to highlight global concerns. Selected as one of Teen Vogue’s ‘Generation Next’ and nominated for ‘Woman of The Year 2020,’ Coker is also listed on the Drapers 30 under 30 2021 List, primarily based in London, developing her label, TOLU COKER.
